Alanis Morissette
Alanis Morissette is a Canadian was born on the 1st of June 1974 in Ottawa. Alanis' Greek is a male version of the surname her father's name. Georgia is the name used by her mother and she shares two brothers named Chad as well as Wade. As a young girl she started learning to play piano. After that, she was 21 and at the age of 21, she began playing guitar. Alanis released a single in 1986 that was titled Fate Stay with me (b part: Find The Right Man). In Canada, Alanis recorded two dance-pop albums, Alanis (in the year 1991) and Now Is The Time in 1992. When she was 18, she relocated to Toronto where she worked with numerous singers and musicians, but these collaborations did not work. Then, in 1994, she found the right partner: producer and songwriter Glen Ballard, who had already worked with many artists including Aretha Franklin Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand. They moved to LA when she was 19 years old. Madonna's Maverick Records released the song "Jagged Little Pill" in June 13th, 1995. Alanis had found an intimate, personal method of writing songs. JLP has sold over 30 million copies around the globe, becoming the best selling female album and 3rd most popular album all time. The singer was in a state of emotion-driven conflict (she was even considering not making another record) and took a tour to India.
